The Comic Couch Episode 84

"When Chris Evans throws his mighty shield.

All those fan boys who oppose must yield."

Yeah, you heard it right the Human Torch will be playing Steve Rogers AKA Captain America.

Patrick and Denny had one heated debate then it turned into a discussion on men's hair which is kind of strange considering that Denny is bald and Patrick has dark hair. Thankfully, Jarrod put a stop to it.

This week we review

Robert Jordan's Wheel of time. #1. Indy.

Nemesis #1. Marvel.

Justice League: The rise and fall of Arsenal #1 of 4. DC.

We do talk about DC's Nemesis and Siege #3.

Jesse was really nice to keep us moving along or to tell Denny to shut up.

Apologies for the audio. I forgot to mix it when I converted the file.

Don't try to do this half asleep.

Do you remember in 1984 Van Halen had that hit song "Jump" and every kid was trying to pretend to be David Lee Roth or Eddie Van Halen? I do. Good times.

The Comic Couch Episode 83

Happy Saint Patrick's Day.

Welcome to our special Saint Pat's episode.

Where a good time was had by all.

We had...

Patrick coming out of a diabetic stupor. We think his insulin was mickey'd because he sure sounded drunk.

Joe C. was all jacked up on "Mountain Dew" and swinging a pretty big hammer.

DC Denny was all buzzed and would not stop talking which is really nothing new.

Jarrod thought it was Christmas so he came as Scrooge.

But don't worry we had Miss Jesse was there to keep us in line.

There is a green theme today when we review...

Green Hornet: Year One #1.

Green Lantern Corps #46.

Hulk #21 & Incredible Hulk #608.

Do you remember in 1983 when Michael Jackson had Thriller. Well, I remember a bunch of French and Irish kids trying to be cool by wearing a red leather jacket and putting Jerri curl in their hair. It was scarier than M.J.'s Thriller video.

The Comic Couch Episode 82

1982 probable birth of the Cable Guy!

For those old enough to remember your mom and dad throwing out the antenna having some guy come in and attach a funny box to your old tube T.V. and watching HBO for free for a month but I digress. This week we are all about Justice!!!!

Cry For Justice #7

Green Arrow one shot

The Twelve one shot

Denny, Jarrod, Patrick discuss all along with tib-bids from Larry and, the magnificent return of Jesse to out Larry's at 66 Lakeview ave in Lowell, Ma.

We also picked on George Marston's review at Newsarama.

http://www.newsarama.com/comics/Cry-For-Justice-Spoilers-100303.html

Why do you think he was being so Mr. Negative with the Cry For Justice ending?

Does anyone remember Men at work? They had a really big song in 1982

"Who can it be now da, da, da, da-------, da.

Who can it be now."

The Comic Couch Episode 81

We are green with envy and basking in the 80's

I remember new wave but we are doing an old time pulp magazine feel in this weeks episode.

We salute Denny for making himself a bigger celebrity than he already was while Jarrod, Patrick, and Larry just punch the clock.

And, thank you to everybody for not stepping on our recorder.

Tonight we review Green Hornet #1

First Wave #1

Invincible Iron Man #24

Why was Stan Lee being such a d#$k on the Big Bang Theory?

I have not seen it yet but I taped it on my VCR.

"video killed the radio star, video killed the radio star." The Buggles.
